Recently, modular personal safety pods have begun trial deployment in public venues such as large shopping malls and transportation hubs. These devices provide immediate isolated refuge spaces for high-risk groups during public emergencies.
Constructed with high-strength composite materials, the safety pods are equipped with independent air filtration and disinfection systems. In case of emergencies, users can quickly enter the pods to achieve physical isolation, effectively blocking hazardous exposure. Each pod is fitted with internal communication equipment to facilitate continuous contact between users and the outside world.
It is understood that the devices primarily serve priority protection groups, including pregnant women, the elderly, and people with reduced mobility. Covering an area of less than 2 square meters, they support rapid deployment and flexible transportation.
Emergency management departments stated that the promotion of personal safety pods has enriched the protection means of existing emergency facilities. In the future, more such facilities will be added in public venues, and usage efficiency will be improved through methods such as scan-to-book appointments, aiming to build a more comprehensive safety protection network for citizens.
