Recently, the   Full Coverage of Community Shelter Pods  project in our city was officially launched. The first batch of 20 standardized shelter pods has been put into use in various sub-district communities, adding a protective lock for the safety of residents  lives and property.

Each of the shelter pods put into use this time covers an area of approximately 15 square meters, equipped with emergency oxygen supply, food reserves, first-aid kits and communication equipment. They can accommodate 8 to 10 people for shelter at the same time and can withstand sudden disasters such as earthquakes and heavy rains. The pods are also equipped with material supply ports and emergency call systems, enabling real-time connection with the community emergency command center.

The shelter pod is just downstairs in the community. I can take shelter quickly in case of an emergency, which makes me feel very secure, said Mr. Zhang, a resident of Chenguang Community. An official from the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau stated that the city will complete the deployment of 120 community shelter pods this year and carry out simultaneous training for residents on their use. Through the dual improvement of hardware + services, the safety of the peoples lives and property will be effectively protected.
